BePure Rose, Hibiscus and Vanilla Kombucha

Week two of the Summer of Wellness is all about managing expectations, and how to best navigate staying healthy and happy in social settings.

For many of us, alcohol is a very ingrained in festive activities, from christmas parties, to family catch ups and watching summer sports. Choosing not to drink alcohol doesn’t mean you need to feel like you are missing out. We’ve created this non-alcoholic kombucha mocktail that looks just like a lovely glass of rosé, but only full of the good stuff.

Kombucha is a great alternative option to an alcoholic beverage and many of us in the BePure team enjoy a kombucha mocktail. This recipe is easy but does require a plain kombucha as the base. We have a recipe here to make your very own kombucha from scratch or to save time, find a plain kombucha to use instead (we like the Good Buzz Origins).

This is a stunning mocktail to throw together for your Christmas party or family dinner, and it promotes a happier, healthier you.


BEPURE ROSE, HIBISCUS AND VANILLA KOMBUCHA

Kombucha

Serves 4-6

Ingredients

  • 1 litre plain kombucha
  • 500 mls sparkling mineral water or unflavoured soda water
  • 2 tablespoons of dried hibiscus petals
  • 2 tablespoons dried rose petals
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract we like Singing Dog Vanilla

To garnish

  • 1 pinch of hibiscus petals per glass

Instructions

  1. Place the kombucha in an airtight jar with dried hibiscus flowers, dried rose petals and vanilla extract and place in the fridge for 24 hours to infuse.
  2. Once infused, strain out the flowers and transfer to a clean jug for serving.
  3. Add sparkling water and garnish with a couple of dried hibiscus flowers.
  4. ENJOY!
