When do I take BePure ProgestoRenew?

The recommended dosage of BePure ProgestoRenew is three capsules a day, taken with food. Ideally, you'd have two with breakfast and one with lunch. However, if you're not much of a breakfast kinda gal, it's best to take all three at lunch.

We advise not having them any later than 1pm as the ginseng is stimulatory, and can might it harder to get to sleep… which is not good for our progesterone levels!

Why do we need progesterone?

In the modern world, we are living busy lives and it is undeniable that prolonged stress has become increasingly more common. Stress can lead to low progesterone levels, and since we need progesterone to counter balance our oestrogen this can lead to imbalanced hormones.

It is common for those with low progesterone to experience menstrual complaints, PMS, brain fog and fluctuating moods.

BePure ProgestoRenew contains a nourishing herbal and nutrient formulation to nurture your hormones back into balance by soothing the nervous system, helping the body respond to stress appropriately and opening up communication between the pituitary gland and ovaries to promote healthy fertility.

Can I take while breastfeeding/pregnant? Will it reduce my milk production?

No – It is not recommended to take BePure ProgestoRenew while breastfeeding or pregnant.

The ingredients in BePure ProgestoRenew are designed to support healthy ovarian function and ovulation which will raise progesterone levels and encourage menstruation.

Prolactin, the hormone responsible for lactation, and progesterone compete with each other and encouraging menstruation will shut off lactation and will most likely decrease milk supply.

Vitex agnus or Chaste Tree has been noted in research to be effective in helping reduce prolactin levels in those with hyperprolactinemia.

I have endometriosis, can I take ProgestoRenew? How does it support Endometriosis?

Yes – Research shows that an imbalance of high oestrogen - low progesterone is one of the mechanisms observed in endometriosis. By nurturing healthy progesterone levels with BePure ProgestoRenew, symptomology of endometriosis can be supported.

Is BePureProgestoRenew suitable for vegans?

Yes – all ingredients in BePure ProgestoRenew are free of any animal products, and contained a cellulose veggie capsule.

Are there any side effects of BePure ProgestoRenew?

Unlikely, but possible – Different people can respond to herbs in different ways. Although still rare, the most common side effects are going to be; nausea, upset stomach, headaches, increased anxiety and fatigue.

If you experience any side effects please discontinue use and contact BePure on 0800 52 54 52 or info@bepure.co.nz

Which forms of contraception is BePure ProgestoRenew safe to take with?

BePure ProgestoRenew is safe with the copper IUD as this form of IUD does not contain any hormones.

It is recommended that if you use hormonal contraception such as a hormonal IUD, mirena, rod or OCP, that you also use an alternative contraceptive means (we’re talking condoms) as well, given some of the herbs may affect the effectiveness.

I have PCOS. Can I take BePure ProgestoRenew?

Although some of the herbs in BePure ProgestoRenew have been found to be beneficial for PCOS, it is not recommended that people with PCOS take BePure ProgestoRenew without completing a comprehensive urine hormone profile as provided by Eve Health. As in cases of PCOS we need to know more about what type of androgens you have as to whether is going to beneficial or not.

Can I take BePure ProgestoRenew if I am perimenopausal?

Yes – Supporting hormone production, specifically progesterone during perimenopause is recommended. BePure ProgestoRenew would be beneficial.

Can I take with other BePure products?

Yes – BePure ProgestoRenew is most effective when taken alongside with BePure One, BePure Three and BePure Zinc Restore (if zinc levels are low). BePure EstroClear is also recommended if you have oestrogen excess (not just an imbalance in progesterone to oestrogen—commonly termed oestrogen dominance).

What's the difference between BePure EstroClear and BePure ProgestoRenew? Can I take them both at the same time?

BePure EstroClear and BePure ProgestoRenew each work on slightly different elements of your hormone balance. BePure EstroClear is designed for those with high oestrogen and helps to support your liver detoxification pathways which helps with the clearance of excess oestrogen from your body.

BePure ProgestoRenew is designed for those with low progesterone and is a herbal blend which is designed to support the upregulation of your progesterone production through helping your brain communicate better with your ovaries.

While high oestrogen and low progesterone often go hand in hand, they are different processes and so taking both products at once can be very complimentary and supportive for those who have this picture of high oestrogen and low progesterone. Feel free to call us on 0800 52 54 52 ext. 2 to chat about this further.

Can I take ProgestoRenew if I have had a hysterectomy?

Yes – Often the ovaries aren’t removed, and progesterone is still a balancing hormone although high levels might not be able to be achieved due to the hysterectomy.

How long should I take ProgestoRenew for?

You should not need to take it for longer than 3-6 months if BePure ProgestoRenew is the right product for you. However if you feel better on BePure ProgestoRenew, take a 2-month break before using the product again for another 3 months.

Vitex is most effective during the first three to six months of use. After that, its effect on the pituitary starts to diminish. It is possible to stop taking BePure ProgestoRenew after this timeframe, and still maintain ovulation and healthy periods.

Please note, if BePure ProgestoRenew does not improve menstrual symptoms during this timeframe, there is other work needing to be done on other body systems to support ovarian function. At this point, chatting to our Nutritional Health Support team would be a good thing to do.

How long should I wait after stopping the OCP to begin take ProgestoRenew?

Ideally wait, 3 - 6 months after coming off the OCP before you start taking BePure ProgestoRenew

When you first come off the OCP, your pituitary and ovaries must communicate with each other for the first time in years – maybe even decades! You want a slow, gentle start to this communication, and to see what your ovaries do by themselves prior to adding a strong pituitary herb like Vitex Agnus.

How old do I have to be to take BePure ProgestoRenew?

Over the age of 18. Pituitary-ovarian communication is still developing during teenage years, and it’s best not to interfere which this happening naturally during this time.

How is BePure ProgestoRenew different to ProgestoMend?

BePure ProgestoRenew and ProgestoMend are quite similar, and have similar purposes, however their ingredients are slightly different.

ProgestoMend is a proprietary blend of herbs and does not identify the specific amounts of each herb used in the product, thus it is hard to gauge therapeutic levels of each ingredient. BePure ProgestoRenew contains ingredients at dosages noted to be effective in research for menstrual complaints.

Unlike Progestomend, BePure ProgestoRenew contains some extra special ingredients. These are Siberian Ginseng, Passionflower, Magnesium and B6. Siberian Ginseng is great for for the tired female needing more energy. Passionflower is a lovely anti-anxiolytic herb and is incredible for the wired but tired female. Extra magnesium is really helpful for PMS symptoms and B6 support ovarian function along with many other biochemical processes in the body.
